The Indigenous Correspondents Chapel (ICC) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has extended warm Christmas greetings to its members, while charging them to embrace greater unity, discipline, and commitment in the coming year.
In a Christmas message issued on behalf of the Comrade Kenneth Orusi–led leadership, the Secretary of the Chapel, Comrade Michael C. Odiah, expressed gratitude to God for His grace, protection, and guidance over the ICC throughout the year.
According to the message, Christmas symbolizes love, sacrifice, unity, and renewed hope—values that continue to define the ICC as a people-oriented and purpose-driven professional body.
Despite the challenges faced during the year, the Chapel noted that members remained steadfast, resilient, and united, upholding the ideals of solidarity, justice, fairness, and collective responsibility. The leadership commended members for their loyalty, sacrifices, and unwavering support, describing the ICC as a formidable and respected family within the NUJ.
Looking ahead to the new year, the ICC leadership urged members to adopt a renewed sense of purpose, stressing that the task ahead requires stronger unity, discipline, active participation, and unwavering dedication to the growth and progress of the Union.
The message further emphasized that every member has a critical role to play in building a stronger, more responsive, and people-centered ICC, calling on members to deepen cooperation, support one another, and engage constructively in union activities.
“The future belongs to us if we remain focused, united, and committed to service above self,” the statement said.
