The exercise, which will cover Odih Farmland, Uzor Ezesoawi and Afia Uzor along Uzougom Road, is expected to move into physical enforcement in the first week of October.
The directive was contained in a public notice jointly endorsed by the Traditional Head of Ogbe-Ani Quarters, Diokpa Sir (Dr) Peter Ejiwe; Chairman of the Ogbe-Ani Land Recovery Committee, Hon. Richard E. Anonyei; Secretary of the committee, ESV. Sir Peter I. Kifordu; and Ogbe-Ani Youth President, Comrade Udoka Paul Anonyei.
According to the community, the initiative has the unanimous backing of its elders, youths and stakeholders and is intended to safeguard Ogbe-Ani's ancestral land while ensuring proper documentation and regularisation of land holdings.
The committee called on bona fide Ogbe-Ani indigenes with survey plans or other land-related documents within the affected locations to submit copies to the committee on or before the September deadline.
It also urged developers, investors, corporate organisations, institutions, families and other persons with interests in the designated areas to present themselves for verification and documentation.
In a specific warning, the community advised individuals who purchased land from persons lacking the authority, consent or approval of Ogbe-Ani Quarters to come forward for verification, noting that failure to comply could create complications during the recovery exercise.
Despite the warning, the community assured residents and stakeholders that the exercise would be carried out peacefully, transparently and in an orderly manner, urging everyone concerned to cooperate with the Land Recovery Committee.
