Professional Lectures Take Centre Stage as Class of 2009 Old Boys Association Rolls Out 2025 AGM Programme

The Class of 2009 Old Boys Association has unveiled its programme for the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), with a strong spotlight on its Professional Lecture Series, designed to equip members with practical insights on career growth, wellness, integrity, and collective advancement.

Scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Professional Lectures will be held virtually and will run in two sessions — 10:00am to 12:00pm and 6:00pm to 7:00pm — making them the intellectual and developmental core of the three-day AGM activities.

The lecture series will feature three accomplished professionals addressing critical areas of modern professional life:

Dr. Chuka Uzoh will open the sessions with a timely discourse on “Staying Sexually Healthy, Mentally Resilient, Fit, and Stress-Balanced as a Naija Man in Your 30s Through Sustainable Habits,” emphasizing holistic wellbeing as a foundation for long-term success.

Engr. Joseph Nwanze who doubles as the National President of the association will follow with a presentation on “Leveraging Professional Skills, Networks, and Integrity for Sustainable Success,” offering practical strategies for career advancement and ethical leadership.

Engr. Udoka A. Ozieh will conclude the lecture series with “The Power Within: Alumni Networks and Collective Growth,” highlighting the strength of alumni collaboration as a catalyst for personal and collective progress.

Other activities lined up for the 2025 AGM include a Novelty Football Match on Friday, December 19, at Gustavo Beach House, fostering fellowship and camaraderie, as well as a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, December 21, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The event will wrap up with the Annual General Meeting and After Party at Tenopil Hotel later that day.

The association noted that the emphasis on the Professional Lectures reflects its renewed commitment to intellectual development, health consciousness, and strategic networking, positioning the Class of 2009 Old Boys Association as a platform for continuous growth beyond reunions.
