The Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Azinge has pledged the sum of #100 million naira towards the establishment of a law faculty at Dennis Osadebe University.HRM hinted that "Dennis Osadebay was a lawyer and how can we have a Dennis Osadebay university without a law faculty?"
This was contained in a statement made available through the facebook handle of the Palace dated 17th, April, 2025 and titled *ASAGBA PROF. EPIPHANY AZINGE PLEDGED #100 MILLION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE DENNIS OSADEBAY UNIVERSITY, LAW FACULTY.*

It reads:
HRM passionately decried the none existence of law and medical faculties in the university, even though they have been accredited by the NUC.
In his words *”Dennis Osadebay was a lawyer and how can we have a Dennis Osadebay university without a law faculty?*
My predecessor in office, the 13th Asagba of Asaba, late Obi Prof Chike Edozien who followed the development of the university was also a first class medical doctor, their should be a faculty of medicine here in DOU”
Nna Agu supported the idea of industries and communities, investing in universities, this the guest speaker Dr Babatunde Omotowa and the chairman of the event Prof. Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu acknowledged.
Arising from the above, His Majesty announced that the presence of Asaba at the event, is to change the narrative by investing into the developmental trajectory of the school, to show that we have a stake in the university.
Chief Dr Nicholas Azinge called on all Asaba born medical doctors to support HRM, by championing the establishment of a medical faculty. He acknowledged the project, would be tasking with a lot of fund investment but also recognized the fact that when completed, would be a legacy, that Asaba generations to come would be proud of.
