Enugu Command Mark National Police Day in Examplary Style

Enugu state police command has made personal efforts to ensure that the national police day is marked in an exemplary and symbolic way.

According to a press release by the Enugu state command Police Public Relations Officer SP Daniel Ndukwe on April 4th, 2025, "Further to the activities marking the maiden National Police Day 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, on April 4, 2025, led officers and men of the Command in a sanitation exercise at the popular Old Park, Enugu."

Dressed in branded National Police Day shirts, CP Giwa, alongside his management team, officers, and men, joined by the leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), cleared refuse at the park with support from personnel of the Enugu State Waste Management Agency (ESWAMA).

In a related event, the Commissioner, represented by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, alongside the State Chairman of POCACOV, Comrade Samuel Ejike Arum, conducted a sensitisation programme for students at the Security, Career, Leadership, and Employability Training 2025, organised by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

Earlier, the Command carried out a free medical outreach and held a town hall meeting with critical stakeholders, as part of the nationwide humanitarian and community outreach activities lined-up by the Nigeria Police Force’s to commemorate the maiden National Police Day.
