The Hope Unites 2025 - Walkathon and Event by Fostering Hopes Foundation, which was a sporting awareness campaign to draw attention to the plights of vulnerable families and children in the society, has thrown Delta State Police Command into jubilation, just as one of its own Coach Police, Inspector Fidelis Enebeli who participated in the 12 hours/60+km walk from Agbor to Asaba, returned to his Command to present his award and medal to his senior officers.
The highly rated Coach Police in character and performance, first had the honour of showing his award to his boss and OC Pay Delta Command, CSP Curtis Omorere in company of Board members of the Fostering Hopes Foundation.
His highly elated boss, appraised him and said he remains one of the most humble and dutiful police officers with a passion for service to his father land.
While congratulating Insp. Enebeli for achieving the milestone of coaching the Walkathon participants as well as completing the task himself, CSP Curtis Omorere commended the Fostering Hopes Foundation for embarking on such humanitarian initiative that is aimed at alleviating the plights of vulnerable families and children in the society.
In his own attestation as the image maker of the Command, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright who also received the Sustainer of Hope Award from the Foundation, in recognition of his disposition to professional policing and image making, commended the Foundation for honouring Insp. Fidelis Enebeli.
He posited that there are a lot of police personnel making the Police Force proud, and Insp. Fidelis Enebeli is one of them, because of his penchant for passionate service towards societal advancement, which is devoid of pecuniary gains.
The PPRO therefore urged Insp. Enebeli to continue to serve dutifully irrespective of benefit or not, assuring him that his reward will come one day, because the Command is aware of his proven character and humility.
In another round of commendation, this time from the Commander of the Eagle-Net, SP Danyaya Inusa, who equally provided security for the Walkathon, encouraged Insp. Enebeli to remain himself in all that he does, assuring him that reward awaits him for his good deeds.
According to him, "There are awards that are not merited, especially when they are not worked for. But this particular award should be cherished; because you worked for it by putting in all your efforts to achieve it. You did not only coach the participants, you joined in the walk, guided the trekkers and completed the task with them without any hitch or mishap.
"I congratulate you profoundly, and I pray that God will continue to make a way for you and empower you with more grace to achieve more for the Police and the society at large", SP Inusa prayed.
In a nutshell, the Awardee and Coach Police, Insp. Fidelis Enebeli appreciated his bosses for their appraisals and accolades, maintaining that he would always remain loyal to the Police institution and as well committed to good initiatives that promote societal progress and unity through sports.
