ASABA — The Youth Economic Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit (YELES) 2026 has commenced in Asaba, bringing together young leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and aspiring change-makers for a three-day programme focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation and economic empowerment.
The summit, organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Asaba, is taking place from September 25 to 27, 2026, at the Office of the Head of Civil Service Conference Hall, by Cabinet, off Okpanam Road, Asaba.
Speaking on the theme, "Empowering Young Leaders for Economic Growth, Innovation and Sustainable Development," the organisers said the summit is designed to equip participants with practical skills, leadership capacity and entrepreneurial insights needed to drive sustainable development and economic growth.
Activities are scheduled to run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The organisers said the event is open to young people interested in developing innovative ideas, expanding business opportunities and strengthening their leadership potential.
Registration for the summit is ₦5,000 for guests and ₦3,000 for JCI members.
The summit is being co-hosted by Avocado Foundation, a United Kingdom-based non-governmental organisation, and ReSkills, a Malaysia-based organisation, as part of efforts to broaden opportunities for youth development through international collaboration.
