The Organization for the Advancement of Anioma Culture (OFAAC), the apex cultural body of the Anioma people, has congratulated Professor Eric Eboh on his appointment as Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta, Agbor.
In a statement issued on behalf of the organization, the President of OFAAC, Arc. Kester Ifeadi, described the appointment as well deserved and a source of pride to the Anioma nation.
“This well-deserved elevation is a source of immense pride to the Anioma nation and to all who have followed the distinguished career of Professor Eric Eboh in academia, public service, and development leadership,” he said.
Ifeadi noted that the appointment reflects Professor Eboh’s outstanding professional competence and lifelong commitment to societal advancement through knowledge, innovation, and service. He also highlighted Eboh’s contributions to the promotion of Anioma heritage as a prominent member of the Anioma Culture and Heritage Project Steering Committee, an initiative sponsored by OFAAC to document and preserve the history and traditions of the Anioma people.
As the pioneer Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer of Delta State, Professor Eboh played a key role in implementing transformative programmes that have shaped inclusive economic development in the state over the past decade, particularly in job creation, entrepreneurship development, and youth empowerment.
“OFAAC is confident that Professor Eboh’s experience, intellectual depth, and visionary leadership will usher in a new era of academic excellence and institutional growth at the University of Delta, Agbor,” Ifeadi added.
He further noted that the appointment reflects the growing recognition of the contributions of Anioma sons and daughters to national development.
