The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Gwarimpa Division, SP Babale Galadima, to the Command Headquarters. The redeployment follows allegations of professional misconduct leveled against the officer by members of the public and is to enable him face administrative disciplinary proceedings.
This development aligns with the CP’s earlier directive to all Divisional Police Officers and their subordinates to remain professional, courteous, and law-abiding in the discharge of their duties. He reiterated that the Command will not condone misconduct, unprofessionalism, or abuse of office, stressing that any officer found wanting will face appropriate sanctions.
In the same vein, the Commissioner has approved the posting of CSP Nasir Gusau as the new Divisional Police Officer for Gwarimpa Division, with immediate effect. He charged the new DPO to uphold the highest standards of policing, respect for human rights, civility in dealing with the public, and commitment to the Command’s strategic security objectives.
The Commissioner of Police calls on residents of Gwarimpa and its environs to extend their full cooperation to the new DPO and continue supporting the Police in their collective efforts to maintain law, order, and public safety within the Division.
