The attack was successfully repelled following a swift response from a joint security team comprising Police operatives and Agunechamba Vigilante personnel. During the exchange of gunfire, one of the assailants was neutralized, while others fled into nearby bushes with suspected gunshot injuries.
The team recovered one pump-action gun and the body of the neutralized suspect at the scene.
Meanwhile, offensive and intelligence operations are ongoing in collaboration with tactical units to track down the fleeing suspects.
