FCT Police Arrest Suspects for Armed Robbery, Drug Trafficking, and Vehicle Theft

ABUJA, Nigeria — Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested several suspects involved in armed robbery, drug trafficking, and vehicle theft in a series of coordinated, intelligence-led operations across the territory.

The operations, conducted between October 9 and 18, 2025, by the Scorpion Squad, Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mabushi Divisions, resulted in the arrest of Manaseh Emmanuel (36), Dogora Ibrahim (21), and Ibrahim Idamusa (40) — members of a notorious armed robbery gang linked to Ibrahim Yakubu, a.k.a. “Ycome”, currently remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

Also arrested by Life Camp Division were Umar Abubakar, Iliyasu Ibrahim, Usman Ibrahim, and Alkasim Abubakar, identified as part of a ten-man robbery syndicate behind several violent attacks in Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mpape.

In a separate operation, Bello Mohd Tambuwal was apprehended for stealing a 2019 Toyota Corolla, while Paul Onogwu was intercepted with 15 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.

Commissioner of Police, CP Dantawaye Miller, psc, commended the officers for their commitment and urged all Divisional Police Officers to sustain operations against criminal networks across the FCT.

He reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to dismantle criminal hideouts and restore peace across the capital. The CP also encouraged residents to report suspicious persons or movements through the Command’s emergency lines:
