Asaba Agog As FHF Empowers Widows, Others In Soap Making Skill

By Patrick Ochei

There were palpable excitements on Saturday 16th August, 2025, as the Fostering Hopes Foundation empowered widows and other women in soap making skill in Asaba, Delta State.

At the end of the training by the resource person, Ms. Philomena Nwaobilor, the women were all presented starter kits, given refreshment and a token for their transportation.

In his introduction of the programme, the Director of Community Engagement and Development, Comrade Patrick Ochei said, apart from the 12 families that have benefitted from business grants and 40 children that are placed on scholarship from nursery to secondary school respectively, Fostering Hopes Foundation has continued to engage in other productive ventures, especially in skills acquisition for women, youth and the vulnerable.

He said much more benefits would accrue to  individuals in coming weeks when the Foundation shall be celebrating her one year anniversary in September.

Speaking also was the Program Director on Education, Pastor Mrs. Ethel Uto who admonished the participants to give attention to the training and deploy the knowledge garnered into maximizing profit.

The resource person took time to explain the processes of producing liquid soap in large quantity and finding market for its sale.

It was indeed a joyous moment for the women who sang and danced in appreciation to God and the Executive Director of Fostering Hopes Foundation, Nkechi Ukome, which was summed up in a vote of thanks by one Mama Ngozi, appreciating the entire Foundation team for their gesture that has brought immense turnaround for the beneficiaries.
