Sir Tilije disclosed this during an interview at the Delta state House of Assembly, Asaba on Thursday after the budget presentation by the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
Tilije revealed that there were so many awarded contracts in 2024 that needed to be reviewed due to the evident inflation in the nation and this in turn affected the size of the budget.
The finance Commissioner hinted that the Oborevwori’s administration is determined to complete all ongoing projects across the state and also put new ones in place in line with the MORE AGENDA and its visibility in the home of all Deltans.
The Commissioner said, he believed in the size of the budget, and was pleased, noting that a lot of hard work was put into the budget that was presented today, and I am hopeful that 80 percent of the size of the budget in terms of performance will be evident and Deltans will know that this administration cares for them”
We will not borrow, and I can say so with every atom of seriousness, the budget will be funded organically he added”.
