Japa: Woman Dïes After Migrant Boat Mishap Off Greek Island of Kos

A woman has tragically died, and 15 migrants were rescued after their boat capsized off the island of Kos in the eastern Aegean Sea, according to Greece's coastguard.

In a separate incident, 78 migrants were saved from a wooden boat near Gavdos Island. The rescued individuals are being transported to Crete.

Greece, a key entry point for migrants to the EU, saw a resurgence in migrant crossings last year after a decline following the 2015-2016 crisis.
