The State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State has visited the Issele-uku monarch, HRM Agbogidi Obi Nduka JP (MNSE), Obi of Issele-Uku Kingdom in his palace upon arrival for the PDP campaign rally in Issele-uku, headquarters of Aniocha North Local Government Area.
The visit on Monday July 1, 2024 was an opportunity for the State Chairman of the PDP, Olorogun Barrister Kingsley Esiso to present the Party's Chairmanship candidate in Aniocha North, Hon. Emma Chinye, his vice, Lady Clara Nneka Dibia for the July 13th Council election in the State.
Presenting the candidates to the amiable king, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso appreciated Obi Nduka for his fatherly advice and assured him that the party has come to make a difference in Aniocha North Local Government, with Hon. Emma Chinye on the saddle.
The State Party Boss, described Hon. Emma Chinye as a Man of capacity who has all it takes to deliver on mandate.
His words, "We are in your palace to inform you that members of the PDP are in your domain to talk to your people. We are here too, to seek your blessings for the journey ahead.
"Let me assure you that Hon. Emma Chinye has a task to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Aniocha North. We will be on his neck to do the needful and deliver on the mandate.
"We are pleased to have you as our royal father and we are very grateful to identify with you today. Just be rest assured that we will not disappoint you", Esiso promised.
Responding, the highly revered monarch of Issele-uku Kingdom, HRM Agbogidi Obi Nduka JP (MNSE), urged the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to address the concerns and yearnings of the people for dividends of democracy amidst economic crunch bedeviling the country.
Obi Nduka said PDP as the ruling party in the State, remains a Party to beat, even as he advised them to encourage their candidates to respond positively to the wishes and aspirations of the people in respect to the dividends of democracy.
According to Obi Nduka, "This is more than a familiarization visit, because I practically know almost everybody in the trail. On behalf of the chiefs, I am pleased to let you know that Issele-uku is pleased to receive you today.
"The PDP in Delta State is the party to beat, because it is the ruling party. Just keep it up.
"Let me also acknowledge that the party is in safe hands, because the people piloting it here are well known. I wish you well in the coming election.
"Also, can I say that we are aware that the candidates are here to serve the people and not themselves. Let them give the people the dividends of democracy they deserve. They should prepare to serve well, not minding the fact that life is full of ups and downs.
"For Hon. Emma Chinye, he is well known to me. I want to personally wish him well and congratulate him ahead of the election", Obi Nduka said.
Those party faithful who accompanied the State Chairman to the palace, included the Immediate Past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, the Chairman of the Aniocha North PDP Campaign Council and Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi, the DG of the PDP Campaign Council, Hon. Jaunty Okwudi, the Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Emma Chinye, Vice Chairmanship Candidate, Lady Nneka Dibia, Aniocha North PDP Chairman, Dr. Charles Ochei and others too numerous to mention.
