Members of Igbodo Central Executive Council has cried bitterly on the Obi's aggressive ways of relating with his subjects.
Speaking with Elder Comrade, John Egbubike, from Idumo-Obior, he disclosed that Igbodo community is being ruled by dictatorship from the Obi who takes advantage of the people.
He said, most of us in this community live in fear because our freedom is being touched while the union of the Igbodo Development Union and the Central Executive Committee has been illegally and unconstitutionally dissolved.
He added, the Obi issued a warning that no member of the Central Executive Council should hold meeting in his community, also accused them over alleged non-cooperation with him and leadership of the Obi in Council.
In the same vein, Barr. Azikiwe Lawrence an indigene from Idumogbe disclosed that, the issue had been on ground for the past four years, when he forcefully removed the CEC from office.
It would be recalled that crisis began when, the Obi reappointed a non qualified person, as the new President General of Igbodo Community.
"Presently he takes decision on his own without the concern of his subjects and threatened anyone that goes against his orders.
A development which did not go down well with the majority of the community people ( home and abroad)"
Barr Azikiwe while speaking appealed to the government to come to their aid and help solve these issues in their community.
Responding to the allegations, the Obi of Igbodo, HRM, Obi (Barr.) Ikechukwu Nkeobikwu Osadume 1, stated that "it's unfortunate that some set of chiefs in his community are causing conflicts and creating disunity in Igbodo down."
According to him, he is the paramount ruler of the community, and he refused to be cowed by some set of chiefs that tagged themselves as the cabal of the community.
While speaking on the embargo on meetings the Obi said that "these set of people are known as agents of conflicts and trouble makers within the community.
I don't want problem rising from decisions taken in their meeting. So the best is for the police to stop them for now, until they are ready to work in peace."
Obi Osadume stressed that " I'm not oppressing my people, either am I using unconstitutional rights not to allow the C.E.C government to function properly, all I want is peace in my community and that is my stand."
