Two illegal oil refining sites has been discovered by the Anti-Vandal unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Rivers State Command, at Umuechem in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Egi News reports that "The NSCDC Anti-vandal Unit discovered two illegal refineries, two 20,000 litre capacity receiver open tanks, a 25,000 litre cooking oven pot, and two 4 inch galvanized pipes about 400 meters in length at the site."
"The unit has taken proactive measures to capture the environment and forestall illegal dealings in petroleum products in the area."
