This question is critical to understanding where we are coming from and, more importantly, where we are headed within the political space of Delta State and Nigeria as a whole. We are the Anioma Nation, situated within the political region known as Delta North Senatorial District.
For years, we have clamoured for good leadership capable of delivering meaningful development in both physical infrastructure and human capital. Unfortunately, the much-promised El Dorado has remained elusive under the old-guard politicians who return to us every election cycle with promises of heaven on earth, only to benefit from the system and abandon the people to struggle and fend for themselves.
Another election season is upon us. Do we really need to continue hovering around the same political figures as though they still have something new to offer? Or is it time to look beyond them and embrace a viable alternative?
This is the moment to reject politicians who have consistently failed to live up to their promises and instead focus on how to liberate our people and constituency by exercising our democratic franchise wisely and responsibly.
