The Nigeria Majority Leaders’ Forum, a body comprising Majority Leaders of State Houses of Assembly, has extended warm felicitations to Nigerian workers on the occasion of May Day.
In a statement issued in Asaba, the Chairman of the Forum and Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Emeka Emmanuel Nwaobi, Ph.D., commended Nigerian workers for their invaluable contributions to national development. He noted that their dedication and resilience continue to support the effective functioning of all arms of government in delivering on their mandates.
Nwaobi noted that the significance of May Day lies in recognizing and celebrating the vital role of workers, while also reinforcing confidence in the labour force as a cornerstone of national progress.
He further urged labour unions to sustain constructive engagement and collaboration with governments at all levels, emphasizing the importance of fostering a peaceful and productive working environment across the country.
The Forum Chairman reassured that, as key drivers of legislative business at the state level, Majority Leaders remain committed to providing purposeful guidance within their respective Houses of Assembly.
He stated that they will continue to champion the enactment of laws and adoption of resolutions that promote good governance and accelerate socio-economic development across the states.
