Nwaobi said NUJ has made the right decision that is not biased or inclined to sentiment, commending the Comrade Churchill Oyowe led State Executive for the honour done the people's Speaker.
The Leader of the House, who is also the Chairman of all Majority Leaders in Nigeria, eulogized the Speaker, affirming that indeed he has done well within the period he has held sway as Speaker, even as Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, maintaining that the award is deserving and meritorious.
He said, "To my boss the Speaking Speaker, you have been an inspiration in Lawmaking and to your colleagues. You truly deserve this award that the watchdog of the society like the NUJ has presented to you.
"I am pleased, as well as other of our colleagues with the leadership you have provided as Speaker of the 8th Assembly. This rare quality of a sterling leader that you have exhibited in less than two years as Speaker, has been observed by Deltans who are keenly watching your activities and the vibrancy of the Assembly. More interesting and authoritative is this recognition and endorsement on you, by the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
"Once again, I say a very Big Congratulations to you. More wins as you continue to lead and speak for us in good courses", Nwaobi stated.
