Religious Hate Crimes has experienced a Surge by 25% in England and Wales, Driven by Anti-Jewish Offences
FIVE News "Religious hate crimes in England and Wales surged by 25% in the year ending March 2024, largely due to a spike in anti-Jewish offences following the Israel-Hamas conflict in October 2023."
The number of recorded crimes rose to 10,484, with incidents targeting Jewish people more than doubling. Anti-Muslim crimes also increased.
"Despite the rise in religious hate crimes, the overall number of hate crimes fell by 5%."
