Delta Poly Rector Congratulates First Ever Female Deputy, Dr (Mrs.) Joy Erere Anho

The Rector, Professor (Bldr) Emmanuel Achuenu, along with the Management of Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku, has officially congratulated Dr. (Mrs.) Joy Erere Anho on her historic appointment as the institution's new Deputy Rector.

This marks a significant moment for the Polytechnic, as Dr. Anho becomes the first female to hold the position since the institution's founding.

Appointed by the Governing Council, Dr. Anho’s elevation is a testament to her outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions to the growth of the Polytechnic. Originally from Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, Dr. Anho has built an impressive career characterized by an unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Before her appointment, Dr. Anho served as a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, where she previously made history as the department’s first female Head of Department (HOD). 

She has also been an active member of the institution’s Governing Council as a Congregation Representative. Her academic journey began as an Assistant Lecturer, and her rise to the rank of Chief Lecturer is seen as a reflection of her hard work, discipline, and influence in the academic community.

The institution believes that Dr. Anho’s appointment will usher in a new era of excellence for the Polytechnic, with her leadership expected to further enhance the institution's reputation as a hub for academic achievement.

Her vision of making Delta State Polytechnic a reference point for quality education aligns with the goals of the institution, inspiring both current and future students.
