By Patrick OcheiA frontline supporter of the Governor of Delta State and a medical doctor par excellence, *Dr Awunor Alexander Chidubem* has vouched for the integrity of *Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori* to maintain his stance on free, fair and credible Local Government election, maintaining that all indices point to the fact that he is a promise keeper.
Dr Awunor who addressed newsmen at the PDP grand finale campaign rally in Asaba, said that the Governor had repeatedly told all political parties and their candidates to campaign, and that he would not encourage election malpractice under his watch.
Dr Awunor affirmed that in the last one year of this administration, the Governor had consistently said the things he would do and had done those things, stressing that his promise for a credible election would not be different.
The *Aniocha North* born medical professional, apart from working assiduously for Governor Oborevwori during the 2023 Governorship election, had visited all the communities in Aniocha North with the PDP campaign trail as the *Chairman of the Medical Committee of the campaign organisation*.
According to him, "I have no doubt in my mind that this coming Local Government election is going to be the best ever conducted Council election in Nigeria.
This is because, we have a Governor who is mindful of his promises; if he has promised, he would keep it.
"I had closely worked with him during his own election in 2023, and I can attest to the fact that he is a man of his words. Even now that some of us are trusting him on some things, we will still keep faith with him.
"A perfect example was the campaign by his party the PDP. The PDP had campaigned vigorously because he gave them the matching order to do so. And that alone has presented chances of victory for the PDP, because other parties were just aloof and didn't campaign as expected of parties wanting to win elections", Awunor said.
Dr Awunor has done so much for the people of Anioma Nation in terms of *voluntary medical services as Chairman* of Anioma Medical Professionals Forum inc (AMPF) (www.aniomampf.org) and going ahead, he was the *Chairman of the Sheriff Free Medicare Programme for All Deltans* *(SHEFMEPAD)* in Delta state - a group that coordinated all *free medical outreaches* of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as PDP Governorship candidate.
