Delta LG Elections: The People's Voices Were Upheld - Dr Michael Nwoko

•••commends Gov. Oborevwori, Sen. Nwoko for effective support of the process

The Chief of Staff to Senator Prince Ned Nwoko and immediate past SSA to the Governor on Health Monitoring, Dr Michael Nwoko has said that the people's voices were upheld through a transparent electoral process in the just concluded Local Government elections in Delta State.

He made this assertion while speaking to newsmen at the end of the inauguration of the newly elected Chairmen and their Vice under the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

Dr Nwoko recognized the enormous support the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori gave to the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) in a bid to ensure a free, fair, credible and transparent process of election that eventually gave vent to the people's choices and thereby restored their confidence in the government of the day.

In a special way too, he commended the very profound support of the Most Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing the Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Prince Ned Nwoko to the nine local government areas in the Zone.

He said, Ned Nwoko not only was on ground to cast his vote to his party's candidates but also effectively monitored the process across various voting centres to ensure that the process was seamless and credible.

While congratulating the 25 newly sworn-in Chairmen, the amiable politician known as "The Political Oshobe" advised them to embark on people oriented projects in order to reciprocate the people's electoral gestures, which guaranteed overwhelming victory for the PDP across the state.
