Hon. Nwaobi was voted to lead the Forum by his colleagues during an election that took place at the Exclusive Serene Hotels, Wuye, Abuja, on Wednesday 22nd November, 2023, immediately after a two-day retreat of the Majority Leaders in Nigeria.
The newly constituted Exco has been duly inaugurated through an approval and confirmation of the Forum in a motion moved by the Majority Leader of Sokoto State House of Assembly and seconded by the Majority Leader of Ekiti State House of Assembly.
The following Majority Leaders were elected into the Forum's EXCO:
1. Chairman - Hon. Engr. Emeka Emmanuel Nwaobi, Delta State.
2. Deputy Chairman - Hon. Faruk Aliyu Jega, Kebbi State.
3. Secretary - Hon. Jethro Yakubu Zikengyu, Taraba State.
4. Treasurer - Hon. Onaolapp Sango Adedoyin, Oyo State.
5. Financial Secretary - Hon. Abdulrazak Suleiman, Kogi State.
6. Publicity Secretary - Hon. Okoro Uchenna kalu, Abia State.
VICE CHAIRMEN:
1. South South - Rt. Hon. Obolo Bobou, Bayelsa State.
2. North Central - Hon. Saater Tiseer, Benue State.
3. South East - Hon. S.R. Ofodeme Ikenna, Anambra State.
4. South West - Hon. Ofunmolabuti Olumola, Ondo State.
5. North East - Hon. Sale Holi Jibir, Bauchi State.
6. North West - Hon. Shamsudeen Dabai, Katsina State.
In a telephone conversation with the new Chairman of the Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum, Hon. Nwaobi, he acknowledged the hand of GOD in his progressive journey in politics.
His words, "I really don't have much to say, but to continue to express my gratitude to GOD who has found me worthy of HIS Grace and Infinite Mercy.
"I am only a tool in HIS hand, and will continue to reverence HIS name and ask that he continues to use me to advance the course of humanity through politics.
"I also want to thank my colleagues across the country, who found me worthy to be so elected to the exalted position of Chairman of the Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum. I pray for the wisdom to serve them right and achieve the desires of the Forum.
"I am equally not forgetting the role of my Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and my Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor in all of these political trajectories. I most profoundly appreciate them for their support all along. I pray that GOD continues to bless them and give us the grace of harmony as we dispense governance to the people of Delta State", Nwaobi posited.
