Nwaobi in a statement, described Oyowe as a professional journalist who has carved out an enviable niche for himself in the field of practice.
He said that the administrative journalist is one of the journalists in the State that has continued to uphold the ethics of his profession in line with being a dutiful editor going by his output in the Veracity Magazine and official bulletin of the Ministry of Information.
The Majority Leader is optimistic that as a hard-nut professional who knows his onus, Comrade Oyowe is in a better position to add credible value to the core obligations of journalism practice, insisting that his experience and exposure are enough to make a difference in the noble journalism profession.
According to Nwaobi, "I feel very elated by this election of a known face journalist in Delta State, Comrade Churchill Oyowe. I know that as it is, a lot is expected from his wealth of experience as a journalist of note, and being a Deputy Director in the Information Ministry, as well as Editor of the Ministry's Veracity Magazine. I am also optimistic that he will deliver perfectly by deploying his goodwill and professional network to ensure cordial working relationship with the State Government under the leadership of our amiable Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
"I wish to also use this medium to commend our dear Governor, for how he has always partnered the media, even when he was Speaker of the State House of Assembly. I am sure that journalists themselves can attest to how he has always carried them along, even now with the avalanche of appointments already given to journalists in his government.
"The media is indispensable in the agenda of every government and, I am optimistic that with a solid partnership and synergy with the Nigeria Union of Journalists under Comrade Churchill Oyowe, there is no gainsaying the fact that the MORE Agenda of the State Government is already headed to its envisioned destination.
