Burkina faso and Mali Declare Support for Current Day Niger

Burkina Faso and Mali has declared their support for the newly installed junta in Niger and warned in a joint statement that any military action in Niger would be seen as a declaration of war against them.

According to DW Africa, July 31st, 2023, In a separate statement, Guinea expressed its "disagreement with sanctions recommended by ECOWAS, including military intervention," urging the bloc to "reconsider its position." 

The statements come after ECOWAS leaders threatened to use "force" to reinstate President Mohamed Bazoum.
