Senator Ned Nwoko

The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial constituency, Prince Ned Nwoko, has said that he is an unapologetic grassroot Senator of the enuani people and not an Abuja Senator.

Senator Nwoko revealed this while playing host to his grand reception attended by various dignitaries in celebration of his swearing-in into the red chambers.

"So people wanted me to hold it in Abuja but I declined because not just that few people would be in attendance but it would be too much a risk to put people on the road for that long a distance, considering the part that I'm a grassroot person it would be wrong to hold it there when my people are here"

Nwoko also noted that he's excited at the turnout of people and stated that he would play his part to ensure that deltans get dividend of democracy regularly.

The renowned philanthropist also disclosed that the just concluded NASS in-house elections that brought about key office holders which appeared peaceful, could be compared to the likes of a goose which is calm above with working effortlessly under water.

"It was an election of APC against APC, yet APC governors were on the scene allegedly intimidating PDP Senators, regardless PDP will rise again".
