Delta Keke Riders Worried over Proposed Increase of Ticket Price


Tricycle operators better known as Keke riders, have expressed worries over the return of ticketing in Delta state.

While thanking the government for the temporary relief in the past months, they also expressed worries over the rumored increase in the price of daily tickets from 200 naira to 500 naira.

According to a rider who pleaded anonymity, he stated that they are already experiencing troubles balancing for the Keke at N5000 daily with the new fuel rate and the masses on the other side that now prefer to walk around rather than use their services.

Another rider who spoke with our correspondent in pidgin English said, "other state them dey give palliative, they find as e go easy for them people as things cost, e reach our state them want collect from us, we don hear of the increase since weekend but we dey wait them to start to sell am, them been say today Monday but God do well e nor start today, we pray make God touch our new governor heart to keep am as e be before of even leave am first for now."
